May is FEMALE MOTORCYCLE RIDER appreciation month!

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, and it's also FEMALE MOTORCYCLE RIDER APPRECIATION MONTH!
Statistically speaking, women have been injured more severely than men in motorcycle accidents, due to the lack of choices that existed in the past for women's motorcycle gear.
Thankfully over the past decade, women who ride are getting more involved in designing gear specifically for female riders.
In honor of MOTORCYCLE SAFETY AWARENESS MONTH I wanted to share some motorcycle gear companies which cater to female riders that I recommend:

Chic Riot: Tired of boring black jackets? Chic Riot was co-founded by a female rider and you've never seen riding gear like this before! Colors, sparkles, and so unique!
Great Lake Supply Co: Megan Stark, female YouTube mototvlogger, is selling this amazing Phantom Armor for your gear. She also sells armored reflective hoodies, fully armored cargo pants, and riding boots. She will be carrying Pando Moto brand gear soon, as well.
Stellar Moto Brand: Female owned motorcycle gear company. The cutest vintage "Rosie the Riveter" style fully armored jumpsuits and cafe racer vintage style jackets.

Atwyld: Female brand motorcycle gear. Vintage style gloves, jackets, and pants. Stylish and protective. Love their "Shred" style moto jeans!
Honorable mention:
Flying Duchess: I am so sad to say that Flying Duchess is no longer in business, but if you can find a pre-owned jacket on Poshmark, Mercari, or Ebay, BUY IT! These are high-grade boutique quality jackets (and I might have one going up for sale on Ebay or Mercari or Poshmark soon, since I own more than one Flying Duchess Jacket!)

Ladies, there is no need to choose between looking good on your motorcycle, or being protected. Thanks to these new motorcycle gear brands, you can look cute and sexy on your motorcycle while being fully protected!
I also want to mention that these companies are NOT paying me or giving me any free gear for saying this. I just believe in these women and the products they are offering us.
So, if you are in the market for some protective gear, check these ladies' companies out and tell them that I sent you!
Remember, wearing gear is how you can "protect your future self", so you can just sit back and "enjoy the ride"!
